The Museum collection includes a few official township records.

• Public Highway Orders, instructing the Trustee to create a road, include the names of affected property owners.
• Road tax lists indicate all property owners subject to the tax, with legal description and the amount of tax collected.
• Supervisors’ Reports for the Road Districts list road work done (or cash paid in lieu of work) by local landowners.
• The teachers’ contracts are bound volumes of preprinted, standard, forms with teachers’ names, dates, etc. written in.
• The township trustee’s report includes different data at different periods, but always indicates receipts and disbursements, including payments from the poor relief fund, with a brief explanation.

Researchers may typically consult these items during regular open hours, or make an appointment to come to the Museum at another time.
